Wade Eyerly - Founder and CEO

An experienced startup Founder and CEO, Wade has built airlines on both coasts, raised multiple rounds of venture financing and scaled a rapidly growing airline.  Prior to founding Surf Air, Wade served as an Economist at the Pentagon and as a civilian intelligence officer for the US government, including one tour in Iraq. He also served as a Press Advance Representative for the U.S. Vice President.  He holds a BA from the University of Central Missouri in International Economic Policy and Cross-cultural Relations, as well as a Masters in Public Policy and a Global Management Certificate from BYU.

He and his wife have 3 boys.  Wade is active in his community serving in New Canaan, CT as both a Public Utilities Commissioner and as a Sunday School teacher.  He speaks fluent Russian.


Dennis Murashko - Legal & Regulatory

Dennis is an accredited actuary. Prior to founding EIC, Dennis served as the General Counsel and Senior Advisor to Governor Rauner in Illinois, where he led a large team responsible for a wide range of legal, regulatory, and compliance issues in an organization with an annual budget of $60 billion. After law school, Dennis clerked at the D.C. Circuit and was a Supreme Court and Appellate lawyer at Jones Day. Before law school, Dennis worked as an actuarial consultant to F100 companies.
When he is not knee-deep in legal strategy, Dennis is helping his wife raise their four kids in a suburb outside Chicago. Born in Russia, Dennis is now a proud American and living the American dream.


Peter Bi - Technology

Peter Bi has been an internet guru for over 20 years with experience in communication protocols, security, blockchain, big data, and web frameworks. Prior to joining EIC, he was the CIO of, where he managed one of the largest DSP/DMP systems in China serving 200 million users. He was also a co-founder and VP of Technology for Surfair, an all-you-can-fly airline. Other past experiences include the Rubicon Project, Myspace, and several startups.

Peter graduated with a PhD in Astrophysics, magna cum laude, from University of Munich, Germany. His early scientific research was around the formation of stars and galaxies.

In his spare time, he enjoys practicing Zen Buddhism, brushing up on science, and traveling the world.


Rayyan Islam - Product

Rayyan Islam is a seasoned entrepreneur, product manager, and venture capitalist. Rayyan started his career as an entrepreneur helping build a consumer electronics startup that grew to $12M in annual revenue in two years without traditional venture capital. Afterwards, Rayyan joined Deloitte’s Emerging Market’s practice helping execute special projects and scaling companies across the Middle East and Africa. Since, Rayyan has led product, design and marketing teams at a number of startups including Beacon, Spotify, Digitz, and Pose. At Spotify, he worked on Open Playlist and Discover Weekly which are used daily by hundreds of millions of users around the world. Most recently, he was an investor at leading seed-stage VC firm, Romulus Capital before eventually leaving to start his own fund focused on backing teams solving the world's toughest problems in heavily regulated markets.


Spencer Kelly - Legal

Spencer is EIC's In-House Counsel where he leads efforts in helping craft the company's legal and policy strategy in the heavily regulated education lending space. Previously, Spencer worked as a summer associate at leading law firm, Sidley Austin, in their London office.

Spencer received a B.A in Russian Language and Literature from Brigham Young University and is currently finishing up his JD at Columbia Law School.


Ryan Spalding - Intern

Ryan is currently a junior at NYU's Stern School of Business. He is concentrating in Finance and Computing & Data Science and is particularly interested in Real Estate. He grew up on Long Island playing sports and starting small companies to save money for college. He brings an understanding of students and their mindsets surrounding the student loan process, as he is financing and paying for college himself. In his free time, he enjoys reading autobiographies of successful entrepreneurs and businessmen, exercising, spending time with family and friends, and learning new languages.
